History
To make a long story short, our story began quite a while ago (in 1992), as we went through the pains of a startup engineering firm. It was impossible not to notice that feeders and fitting frames would not get us where we wanted to go; so in 2001, we decided to take on board experts in areas such as IT, camera technologies, robotics etc. Soon we understood that manufacturers of devices designed by us could not be trusted and, as a result, we started our own production in 2003. This way we wanted to avoid being held responsible for someone else’s mistakes. A couple of years later, we outgrew our original premises and had to move. While we genuinely love the Czech Republic, in 2006 it dawned on us we could start exporting things – and we did. Everything went smoothly until the credit crunch. 2009 was a real pain. Luckily for us, we boosted our spirits during the Czech Republic’s presidency of the Council of the EU with David Černý’s Entropa, an art installation that added to the controversies of the period; we made part of the artwork. Coming back to the effects of the crisis, we clung to the ancient wisdom of what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. Guess what, it’s true: with less staff, we were able to do substantially more work. And better, too (2010). A year later, our activities have shifted to those provided to our international clients and we now spend more time abroad than at home.
